Gaskets and seals

Diesel engines use many type of seals working in different parts of it (fuel system, coolant system, intake system, exhaust system, air brake compressor system, engine block, oil pan...) as O-rings, plugs, gaskets of housings, and sometimes the parts can use special silicone glue, these prevents potentially disastrous consequences from different liquids or gases leaking, mixing or escaping.

TKB gaskets and seals are designed to make a secure seal on the different surfaces of an engine to prevent dripping water, oil, fuel and air leaks.

Materials

  • Natural rubber.
  • Silicone Rubber.

What does a cylinder head gasket do in a truck?

The head gasket plays a crucial role in sealing the engine's combustion chamber so that your truck can build the appropriate compression that is needed to maintain your engine power. It also keeps coolant or oil from leaking anywhere else, preventing your engine from overheating and catching fire.

Is installed between the cylinder head and the engine block, sealing the combustion of the engine, provides adequate compression to maintain engine power and prevent oil leaks, also coolant leaks by helping to maintain the proper temperature.

There are many types of gaskets and seals in an engine,

Valve Cover Gasket seals the top of the engine between the cylinder head and the valve cover, commonly designed in rubber but many of them can include steel.

Oil Pan Gasket is made with rubber or steel coated in rubber to seal the bottom of the engine between the oil pan and cylinder block. Frequently this part of the engine is very susceptible to leaks, by this reason TKB Gaskets are made with high performance materials to keep the oil inside the engine.

Intake Manifold Gasket is located between the inlet manifold and cylinder head, it keep a correctly mixture of air and fuel, and the power of the acceleration.

Exhaust Manifold Gaskets keep sealed the exhaust manifold and cylinder head, and TKB is focused on high performance materials capable to resist the high temperature to send the emissions into the rest of the exhaust system.

Crankshaft Seal are made with metal and rubber or silicone and keep oil sealed inside the engine, are design to seal the ends of the crankshaft as it turns commonly a crankshaft use one in front and one in rear.
